The film stars Allison Williams as Gemma, a roboticist who creates a lifelike doll named M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android) to serve as a companion for her orphaned niece, Cady, played by Violet McGraw. The character of M3GAN is physically portrayed by Amie Donald and voiced by Jenna Davis.
